Asian Journal of Arts and Social Sciences (AJASS)
Overview
The Asian Journal of Arts and Social Sciences (AJASS) welcomes original research articles, review papers, case studies, short communications, and scholarly papers from researchers, academics, and professionals across the fields of arts, humanities, social sciences, law, education, development studies, and related disciplines.
Authors are requested to prepare manuscripts clearly and consistently according to the journal guidelines. Manuscripts may be submitted in English or Bengali, depending on the scope and policy of the journal.
Manuscript format
Title page
- The title should be concise, specific, and informative.
- Provide the full names of all authors.
- Include institutional affiliation, department, institution name, and country.
- Identify the corresponding author with email address.
- Include ORCID iD where available.
Abstract
- The abstract should normally be 150 to 300 words.
- It should briefly present the background, objective, method, major findings, and conclusion.
- Avoid citations, footnotes, and unexplained abbreviations in the abstract.
- For Bangla articles, an English abstract should also be provided.
Keywords
- Provide 4 to 6 keywords relevant to the manuscript.
Main text structure
References
Authors submitting manuscripts to the Asian Journal of Arts and Social Sciences (AJASS) must use APA 7th edition referencing style for all citations and references. In-text citations should follow the author-date format, such as (Sharma & Gupta, 2014). All references must be listed alphabetically by the surname of the first author at the end of the manuscript.
Authors are responsible for ensuring that all references are accurate, complete, and consistently formatted. DOI numbers or URLs should be included where available.
For law-related articles, authors may use a recognized legal citation style such as Bluebook, OSCOLA, or another accepted legal referencing format appropriate to the discipline. However, the selected citation style must be applied consistently throughout the manuscript.
Reference examples
Tables and figures
- Tables and figures must be clear, original, and properly numbered.
- Each table and figure must be cited in the main text.
- Do not use vertical lines in tables.
- Table titles should appear above the table.
- Figure captions should appear below the figure.
- Charts, graphs, and images should be submitted in high-quality format.
- Equations should be typed using Equation Editor or MathType and numbered sequentially.

Ethical considerations
- All submissions must follow ethical research standards.
- Studies involving human participants must include informed consent where applicable.
- Authors must disclose any conflict of interest.
- Plagiarism, duplicate submission, and data fabrication are strictly prohibited.
- Authors must ensure that submitted work is original and properly cited.
Peer review process
- All manuscripts are initially screened by the editorial office.
- Suitable manuscripts are sent for double-blind peer review.
- Reviewers are selected based on subject expertise.
- Authors may be requested to revise the manuscript based on reviewer comments.
- The editorial board makes the final decision on acceptance or rejection.
Article processing charges
AJASS is an open-access journal. Authors are required to pay an article processing charge only after acceptance to cover editorial, publication, hosting, and maintenance costs. Fee details are available on the journal website.
