Peer Review Process
Peer Review Process
Asian Journal of Arts and Social Sciences (AJASS)
Overview
The Asian Journal of Arts and Social Sciences (AJASS) follows a rigorous, transparent, and fair peer review process to ensure the quality, originality, and academic integrity of all published research. The journal adopts a double-blind peer review system, where both authors and reviewers remain anonymous throughout the evaluation process.
The review process is designed not only to evaluate the scholarly merit of submissions but also to provide constructive feedback to authors for improving their work.
Initial Screening
All submitted manuscripts are first reviewed by the editorial office to ensure they fall within the journal’s scope and meet basic formatting and quality requirements. Manuscripts that fail to meet these criteria or contain significant ethical issues may be rejected at this stage.
Assignment to Editor
Eligible manuscripts are assigned to an appropriate editor based on the subject area. The editor conducts a preliminary assessment and decides whether the manuscript should proceed to peer review.
Double-Blind Review
The manuscript is evaluated by at least two independent reviewers who are experts in the relevant field. Reviewers assess the originality, methodology, clarity, relevance, and overall contribution of the research.
Review Outcomes
Based on the reviewers’ reports, the manuscript may be accepted, accepted with minor revisions, returned for major revisions, or rejected. Authors receive detailed feedback to guide necessary improvements.

Revision and Resubmission
Authors are required to revise their manuscript in response to reviewer comments and submit a revised version along with a response to reviewers. Revised manuscripts may be sent for further evaluation if necessary.
Final Decision
The final decision on publication is made by the Editor-in-Chief, based on the reviewers’ recommendations and the overall quality of the revised manuscript.
Copyediting and Publication
Accepted manuscripts undergo copyediting, formatting, and proofreading before final publication. The article is then published online and made accessible to the academic community.
Review Timeline
The peer review process is typically completed within 2–3 weeks, depending on reviewer availability and the extent of revisions required.
