Author Guidelines

Asian Journal of Arts and Social Sciences (AJASS)

Overview

The Asian Journal of Arts and Social Sciences (AJASS) welcomes original research articles, review papers, case studies, short communications, and technical reports from scholars and professionals across disciplines. To ensure a smooth publication process, authors are requested to follow these guidelines carefully before submission.

Manuscripts should be prepared clearly, formatted consistently, and submitted with complete author information. Articles may be written in English or Bengali according to the scope and policy of the journal.

Manuscript format

Title page

  • Title should be concise and informative.
  • Provide the full names of all authors.
  • Use superscript letters to match authors with affiliations.
  • Include institutional affiliations and country.
  • For the corresponding author, provide name, email address, and phone number.
  • Include ORCID iD if available.

Abstract

  • Length should be 150 to 300 words.
  • For Bangla articles, the abstract must be written in both English and Bangla.
  • It should summarize the background, objectives, methods, results, and conclusions.
  • Avoid citations and abbreviations.

Keywords

  • Provide 4 to 6 keywords relevant to the study.

Main text structure

Introduction Explain the aim of the study, provide background information, and mention what will be discussed in each section.
Literature Review / Related Work Summarize relevant previous studies without repeating the introduction.
Materials and Methods Describe materials, tools, and procedures clearly so the work can be replicated.
Results Present findings clearly using tables and figures where needed. Avoid repeating the same information in both text and visuals.
Discussion Compare the results with earlier studies, explain limitations, and mention possible future improvements.
Conclusion and Future Scope Summarize the main findings, state the contribution of the work, and identify future directions.
Additional Sections Appendix, Acknowledgment, Funding Information, and Author Contributions may be included where applicable.

References

  • Use a consistent citation style as specified by the journal.
  • References should be numbered and listed in the order cited.
  • Use citation format such as [1], [2], [3] in increasing order.
  • All references must be complete, including DOI or URL where applicable.

Tables and figures

  • Each table and figure must be clear and original.
  • Do not use vertical lines in tables.
  • Use Times New Roman, size 10, not bold or italic.
  • Captions and numbering must appear outside the table or figure.
  • Charts and graphs should be submitted in Word or Excel format, and images in JPG format.
  • Equations must be typed using MathType or Equation Editor, not scanned.
  • Number and caption all equations sequentially.

Ethical considerations

  • All submissions must adhere to ethical research standards.
  • Studies involving human or animal subjects must include ethical approval and informed consent.
  • Authors must disclose any potential conflicts of interest.
  • Plagiarism is strictly prohibited, and all submissions are checked with plagiarism-detection software.

Peer review process

  • All manuscripts undergo a double-blind peer review.
  • Reviewers are selected based on expertise.
  • Authors may receive reviewer comments and be asked to revise the manuscript before final acceptance.
  • The editorial board makes the final decision on publication.

Article processing charges

AJASS is an open-access publisher. Authors are required to pay a modest article processing charge upon acceptance to cover editorial and publication costs. Fee details are available on the journal website. Waivers may be available for authors from low-income countries.

  • This submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration.
  • All references have been checked for accuracy and completeness.
  • All tables and figures have been numbered and labeled.
